Nadia Jamil appeared as a guest on “Fuchsia” and shared a fun story from the early days of her courtship with her now-husband, Ali Pervaiz. As teenagers, they planned to meet at a friend’s house and later decided to go for a drive. While listening to music together, a police squad—established by President Zia to randomly stop people and ask for “Nikkah Namas”—caught them.
While at the police station, Nadia called her uncle, Yousaf Salahuddin, instead of her father. Unaware that her father was among the guests at her uncle’s house, she soon found out when five people arrived at the station—including World Cup winner Imran Khan and her uncle. The policemen served Imran Khan tea before letting her go.
