  • Legendary cricketer Javed Miandad advises team professionalism and responsibility.
  • Shaheen Shah Afridi should be the captain, given the time to prove his worth.
With the World Cup looming, Pakistani cricket is embroiled in drama and politics characteristic of the country. From captaincy changes to shifts in chairmanship, along with dramatic leaks and press conferences, Pakistan Cricket has endured turmoil. Currently, two visible camps within the team have thoroughly demoralized the fans. Babar Azam has reclaimed the captain’s seat, while Shaheen Shah Afridi's exclusion has exacerbated the rift.

Javed Miandad is a legendary cricketer and he had advice for the team. He said that “all the players need to play like a team and remain professional. Yes, this is a game and there can be rifts but the national team should be taken responsibly and Pakistan comes first.”

Replying to one question, Javed said “that Shaheen Shah Afridi should be the captain as he was just put in the seat and he should have been given the time to prove his worth. He was all for Shaheen as the captain and supported him leading the team”
