President Asif Ali Zardari is set to embark on a four-day official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic from July 6 to 9, leading a high-level delegation at the invitation of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, the Foreign Office said on Sunday.
The visit marks the first by a Pakistani head of state to Kyrgyzstan in 21 years, highlighting a significant milestone in Pakistan-Kyrgyz Republic relations and underscoring renewed momentum in high-level diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
According to the Foreign Office, the visit follows President Zhaparov’s successful trip to Pakistan in December 2025, reflecting the continued strengthening of political and diplomatic ties between Islamabad and Bishkek.

During the visit, President Zardari will hold a one-on-one meeting with President Zhaparov, followed by delegation-level discussions. Both leaders will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.
The discussions are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in key sectors, including trade and investment, energy, mining, agriculture, textiles, the halal industry, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, the digital economy, education, tourism, and broader people-to-people linkages.
President Zardari is also scheduled to meet the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament during the visit as part of formal courtesy engagements aimed at strengthening institutional-level cooperation.
The Foreign Office stated that Pakistan and the Kyrgyz Republic maintain warm and fraternal relations based on shared history, cultural and religious ties, and common aspirations for peace, connectivity, and prosperity across Central and South Asia.
