Two soldiers martyred, nine terrorists killed in two separate KP IBOs

At least three khwarij were killed during an IBO in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with two brave soldiers also martyred during the exchanges of fire, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), in the first operation, carried out in the Mohmand District, seven terrorists were killed.

ISPR said that during the operation, two soldiers, including 37-year-old Havildar Muhammad Zahid from Malakand and 26-year-old Aftab Ali Shah from Chitral, were martyred while engaging in a fierce gun battle with the terrorists.

According to the ISPR statement, security forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the eliminated terrorists, who were suspected of being involved in various terrorist activities.

In a separate operation in Dera Ismail Khan, security forces engaged in a gunfight and successfully neutralized two more terrorists.

According to ISPR, a cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also recovered during the operation.

“Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” ISPR said.
