“Thank You Pakistan, PM and Field Marshal are Great People,” says Trump

In a separate post, the US President also thanked Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar.

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has praised Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their “excellent role” in mediation efforts following Iran’s decision to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement posted on his Truth Social account, President Trump expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s leadership, saying, “Thank you Pakistan, thank you to its Prime Minister and Field Marshal both great personalities.”

In a separate post, the US President also thanked Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar for their “great courage and support” in facilitating regional stability efforts.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has welcomed Iran’s announcement to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz for all commercial maritime traffic, calling the development a positive step and expressing his gratitude.

In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said that Iran has announced the Strait of Hormuz is completely open and ready for all forms of shipping, adding, “Thank you Iran.”

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that in light of the ceasefire in Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened for all commercial shipping during the remaining duration of the ceasefire.

The development comes after Iran’s decision to restore maritime traffic through the strategic waterway, easing tensions and improving prospects for regional and global trade stability.
