Speaking to the media, Provincial Information Minister of Punjab, Uzma Bukhari, expressed regret over the Swat tragedy and mentioned that the Chief Minister of Punjab has also acknowledged the contributions of sanitary workers. She emphasized that it should be the responsibility of every Chief Minister to recognize such services.
Bukhari noted that while the country has the same officers, leadership makes the difference. She criticized other provinces for neglect, where furniture remains on roads, and highlighted that before Maryam Nawaz's leadership, Punjab's debt was Rs 1,708 billion. Now, it has been reduced to Rs 1,685 billion.
The Punjab Information Minister explained that the debt of Punjab could be brought down to zero through effective management of wheat resources. She mentioned that in the past, a group of five individuals exploited Punjab, which has always played the role of a big brother to other provinces.
Bukhari added that 1 million people received treatment in the field hospital and praised Maryam Nawaz for not just making announcements but also ensuring implementation. She concluded by stating that Punjab's total debt has been reduced by Rs 23 billion.
