LAHORE – Rainfall of different intensities, accompanied by gusty winds, is expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday evening/night, Saturday, and Sunday.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are entering the upper and central regions of Pakistan, while a westerly wave is influencing the upper areas of the country.
Under these weather conditions, more torrential rains are anticipated in various areas, including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Kasur, Okara, Pakpattan, Vehari, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Khanpur, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Kot Addu on Friday evening/night and over the weekend. Additionally, heavy rainfall may occur in some isolated areas during this period.
Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 36-38°C on Saturday and 35-37°C on Sunday.
Meanwhile, rainfall of varying intensities occurred in Lahore and parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C.
In Lahore, the highest temperature reached 40°C, while the relative humidity in the evening was measured at 78 percent.
