PTI welcomes new beginning of accountability process in country

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has welcomed the recent beginning of accountability process in the country.

This was stated by leaders of the PTI including Salman Akram Raja, Meher Bano Qureshi, Shoaib Shaheen and others while addressing a press conference, here on Sunday.

Salman Akram Raja said, "It is a good thing that the process of accountability has started in the country."

He maintained that there was no example in the history of Pakistan that the people came out to end their fear on 8th Febraury, adding that what is occurring since then, it is shameful.

He lamented that the youth are leaving the country due to the disappointing situation prevailing in the country.

He recalled that a big number of people cast their votes in the favour of the PTI, rejected the fear and oppression and proved that they were with the PTI.

He further said that they (opponents) thought the party could hardly got few votes and the results of election smashed their dreams and they had to face humiliation by the hands of the masses.

He confidently asked the people to rest assured that there would be a victory of their votes, 'Inshallah'".

PTI leader Meher Bano Qureshi on the occasion said that when it comes to democracy, its strength lies in the representation of women.

Ms. Qureshi said that as many as 12,500 votes were rejected, which had been cast in her favour.

PTI senior leader Shoaib Shaheen said that he had won the election with big majority and his opponents could not get more than half of the votes.
