ISLAMABAD: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has stated that recent strikes in Kabul were aimed at militant infrastructure, not civilians or public facilities.
Briefing on the operations, the military spokesperson said the targets included ammunition depots, weapons stockpiles, and drone storage facilities linked to Afghan Taliban elements. He emphasized that no civilian population or infrastructure was targeted during the operations.
Lt Gen Chaudhry noted that many Taliban fighters operate in civilian clothing rather than uniforms, complicating identification, and alleged that drug addicts are often used in suicide attacks.
He further revealed that the leadership of multiple terrorist prganizations is based in Afghanistan, adding that Pakistan carried out precision strikes on 81 high-value targets using intelligence-based operations.
The DG ISPR also claimed that Taliban and other militant groups are using drones with India’s support, describing the situation as a “war imposed on Pakistan,” which has resulted in the martyrdom of thousands of children.
He reiterated that all operations were conducted with accurate intelligence and denied claims by militant groups, stating that Pakistani forces successfully destroyed terrorist infrastructure, including camps and posts.
