As all government and private schools in Lahore are set to reopen on August 15 (Thursday) after the long summer vacation of 2024, the Punjab government has announced updated timings and a revised schedule for weekly offs.

The Punjab School Education Department has released a notification outlining the new school timings following the summer break.

According to the notification, schools operating on a single shift will open at 8:00 am and close at 1:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, with classes ending at 12:00 pm on Fridays.

For schools with double shifts and afternoon shifts, the morning session will begin at 8:00 am and conclude at 12:00 pm, while the afternoon session will run from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm. On Fridays, the evening shift will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Two Weekly Offs for Schools in Lahore from August 15

Starting August 15, all public and private schools will have two weekly offs, as stated in the notification. The schools will be closed on Saturday in addition to Sunday.
