Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, while addressing the National Ulema and Mashaikh Conference, said that the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan share a deep spiritual and ideological bond built on the principles of faith, justice, and peace.
Field Marshal Munir stated that Allah has honored Pakistan among all Muslim nations by granting it the privilege of being the guardian of the Haramain Sharifain, a matter of immense pride for the entire nation. He described this historic defense partnership as a symbol of “mutual trust, faith, and brotherhood.”
During his speech, he emphasized that nations that abandon knowledge and the pen fall into chaos and division. Honor and strength are achieved through hard work and learning not through disunity.
He stressed that knowledge, ethics, and national cohesion are the key elements that put societies on the path of progress.
Field Marshal Munir strongly criticized India’s actions, saying, “Terrorism is not Pakistan’s way; it is India’s behavior. We do not strike from the shadows we confront the enemy openly.” He added that Pakistan has faced terrorism on every front with sacrifice and courage.
He further underlined a critical principle: in an Islamic state, no one except the state has the authority to declare jihad. Violating this principle has harmed the Muslim world, making it essential for scholars to spread this message widely.
Field Marshal Munir said that Pakistan’s armed forces and its people have always stood on the side of truth and achieved victories through Allah’s help and the nation’s unity.
He urged scholars and spiritual leaders to keep the nation united, prevent division, and broaden the public’s perspective.
He concluded by saying that religious harmony and intellectual unity are fundamental pillars of Pakistan’s strength.
