ISLAMABAD: A district and sessions court in Islamabad on Tuesday sentenced Umar Hayat to death in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf, along with multiple prison terms and fines on additional charges.

Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka announced the reserved verdict, stating that the prosecution had proven its case beyond doubt and awarding the death penalty on the murder charge.

The court also handed Umar Hayat a total of 30 years in prison and imposed fines amounting to Rs 2.4 million, according to court proceedings.
