Daytime temperatures are expected to increase gradually on Monday and Tuesday in the plains of Pakistan.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
Under these conditions, dry weather is anticipated across most regions, with hot conditions in the plains during the day on Monday and Tuesday. However, isolated rain showers may occur in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Due to the ongoing dry conditions, daytime temperatures in the plains are likely to continue rising until March 25.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature on Monday and Tuesday is expected to range between 09°C and 11°C. In Rawalpindi, it is forecasted to remain between 14°C and 16°C.
Meanwhile, the past 24 hours saw dry and hot weather in most parts of the country, while hilly areas experienced cold conditions.
Leh was the coldest location in Pakistan, with temperatures dropping to -06°C. Astore recorded a minimum temperature of -01°C, while Skardu and Ziarat recorded 01°C.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature reached 09°C, with morning relative humidity at 74%. In Rawalpindi, the minimum temperature was 14°C, with relative humidity recorded at 48% in the morning.
