RAWALPINDI: On Monday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), spent Eid-ul-Fitr with officers and troops stationed on the Western Border during his visit to Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan.
COAS Asim Munir offered Eid prayers and prayed for Pakistan’s lasting stability and prosperity, according to a news release by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
COAS Asim Munir greeted the troops on Eid-ul-Fitr, praising their unwavering dedication and exemplary service to the nation.
“Your commitment and resilience not only secure our homeland but also exemplify your profound love for Pakistan,” he stated.
He praised the Armed Forces and LEAs for their performance and commended the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for their resilience in combating terrorism.
COAS Asim Munir recognized the formations' tireless efforts and credited their achievements to the sacrifices of martyrs and the dedication of those committed to peace and stability. Upon arrival, Corps Commander Peshawar warmly welcomed him.

The Army Chief urged the Ulema to expose the Khawarij's distorted interpretation of Islam.
