WASHINGTON, D.C: In a major step forward for Pakistan’s digital future, Bilal Bin Saqib, Special Assistant for Blockchain and Crypto and CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, paid an official visit to the White House.

During his visit, Bilal Bin Saqib met with Robert Ho Hines, Executive Director of the Council on Digital Assets. The two leaders held in-depth discussions on cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and the role of digital assets in shaping tomorrow’s economy.

Bilal shared updates on Pakistan’s growing crypto sector and emphasized the country’s commitment to creating a robust regulatory framework for digital currencies. “The progress the U.S. has made in this space serves as a guiding light for Pakistan,” he said.

He also revealed that the Pakistan Crypto Council is actively working on a comprehensive policy to modernize the economy and attract foreign investment through blockchain technology.

Robert Ho Hines welcomed the idea of future cooperation with Pakistan, calling its interest in blockchain a “positive sign” and acknowledging that the digital economy is now central to global development.

Bilal bin Saqib is the first Pakistani government official to pay an official visit to the White House in the past six years. There is no record of any in-person visit to the White House by any Pakistani government official after this date and before June 2025. This historic visit marks a new chapter in Pakistan’s effort to integrate into the global digital economy.
