Two Iranian generals killed in Israeli airstrikes

TEHRAN: Two senior Iranian military officials have been killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting nuclear-related facilities in Tehran and other cities, according to Iranian state media.

In a statement shared on social media platform X and Telegram, Press TV reported that Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani and Brigadier General Gholam Reza Mehrabi of Iran’s armed forces were martyred during the latest wave of Israeli attacks.

The reported strikes are part of escalating hostilities between the two countries, following Israel’s intensified military operations against Iranian infrastructure.

Brigadier General Gholam Reza Mehrabi, Deputy Head of Intelligence for the General Staff, and Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani, Deputy Chief of Operations for the Iranian Army, were both reported martyred in the attacks.

In addition to military losses, Iranian media reported that Israeli strikes on residential areas in Tehran have so far killed at least 60 civilians, including 20 children.

The casualties follow a sharp escalation in hostilities between the two countries, as Iran and Israel continue to exchange strikes amid growing regional tensions.
