JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced its squads for the upcoming tour of Pakistan, where the Proteas will play two Tests, three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
Test captain Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the series due to a calf strain. In his absence, Aiden Markram has been appointed to lead the side in the longer format. Spinner Keshav Maharaj will only be available for the second Test, as he is still completing his rehabilitation program.

For the white-ball formats, CSA confirmed that David Miller will captain the T20I squad, while Matthew Breetzke has been named interim skipper for the ODI series.
The Pakistan team is playing the first series against South Africa at the World Test Championship and the first Test of the series is scheduled for Lahore from October 12, while the second Test is scheduled in Rawalpindi from October 20.
After the Test series against South Africa, there will also be a series of 3 Yin T20 matches, the first of which will be played in Pindi on October 28, while the remaining 2 matches will be played at Gaddafi Stadium on October 31 and November 1.
After the T20 International matches, 3 ODIs will be played on the mainland in Faisalabad on November 4, 6 and 8.
In a surprising turn, wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock, who had earlier retired from One-Day Internationals, has reversed his decision. He has now been recalled and included in both South Africa’s ODI and T20I squads for the Pakistan tour.
