ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) replaced Sher Afzal Marwat with Sheikh Waqas Akram for the slot of Public Accounts Committee(PAC) chairman.

Sources said that Omar Ayub Khan and Shibli Faraz called a meeting of the political committee of PTI to remove Sher Afzal Marwat. In the meeting of the political committee, a voting was held to withdraw the name of Sher Afzal Marwat.

Asad Qaiser, Shehryar Afridi, Shandana Gulzar and Zulfi Bukhari came forward in favor of Sher Afzal Marwat for Chairman PAC, while Umar Ayub and Shibli Faraz brought forward the name of Sheikh Waqas Akram to remove Sher Afzal Marwat.

The name of Sheikh Waqas Akram for the chairman PAC was approved by the political committee of PTI.

Sources said that the political committee will inform PTI founder Imran Khan about the decision to withdraw the name of Sher Afzal Marwat.

It should be remembered that the founder of former prime minister Imran Khan recommended the name of Sher Afzal Marwat for the chairman PAC.

Two days ago, Barrister Gohar Ali had announced the nomination of Sher Afzal Marwat for the chairmanship of PTI on behalf of founder PTI.

Regarding the decision of the political committee of PTI, Sher Afzal Marwat says he was not invited to the political committee meeting and neither was consulted.
