ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Turkiye, on June 23 agreed to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector and explore new investment opportunities together.
Prime Minister Adviser on Privatization Muhammad Ali met Turkiye Minister for Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar during his visit to Ankara. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye in the energy sector.

Both sides discussed investment opportunities and ways to increase collaboration in energy development. They also exchanged views on promoting private sector participation and building strategic partnerships. The ministers shared their experiences in energy sector reforms and discussed ways to support future growth.
Furthermore Turkey and Germany have broadened their bilateral energy cooperation as well by formally incorporating minerals to tie the relationship of Turkish German energy partnership and its associated forum. The announcement was made during the 7th Turkish, German energy forum held in Ankara on 19 June.
The meeting reflected the close and friendly relationship between Pakistan and Turkiye. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to expanding economic and institutional ties for mutual benefit.
Muhammad Ali praised Turkiye progress in the energy sector and expressed Pakistan interest in increasing cooperation in areas of shared interest.
