LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways has announced schedule for special trains, aiming to facilitate passengers during Eid ul Fitr .
The Ministry of Railways has said that on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr, passengers will be provided with more convenience and safe journey. The first special train will depart from Karachi Cant on March 26 via Multan, Sahiwal and Lahore.
According to the Ministry of Railways, the second special train will depart from Quetta on March 26, the third special train will depart from Lahore on March 27 via Multan to Karachi, while the fourth special train will depart from Karachi on March 27 for Rawalpindi, which will arrive from Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lalamoa, Rawalpindi.
The Ministry of Railways added that the fifth special train will depart from Karachi Cantt on March 28, via Multan, Faisalabad to Lahore. All trains will be comprised of economy, AC Business and AC Standard Class.
Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi said that no negligence or deficiency will be tolerated. If negligence, there will be strict action against the officers and staff.
Railway authorities, on the other hand, have announced a reduction of 20 % of train fares after Eid, but the reduction in train fares will not apply to Eid special trains.
