According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), most of Pakistan is experiencing continental air, while a shallow westerly wind is affecting the upper regions of the country.
In these circumstances, the twin cities and isolated areas in the Potohar region, northeast Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northeast/south Balochistan are expected to experience more rain, wind, and thunderstorms on Friday night and Saturday. Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is anticipated in other parts of the country.
On Saturday, Islamabad is expected to have maximum temperatures ranging from 39°C to 41°C, with Sunday's temperatures forecasted to be between 38°C and 40°C.
Rawalpindi is expected to experience maximum temperatures ranging from 40°C to 42°C on Saturday, with temperatures likely to be between 39°C and 41°C on Sunday.
In the past 24 hours, hot and dry conditions were predominant across most parts of the country. Southern and central regions experienced extremely hot weather. Light rain was observed in the twin cities and isolated areas in Kashmir, the Pothohar Region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Lasbella.

Sibbi recorded the highest temperature in the country at 47°C. Bhakkar, Joharabad, and Jacobabad reached a maximum of 46°C, while Dadu, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Nokkundi, and Sargodha recorded temperatures of 45°c.
Islamabad reached a maximum temperature of 43°C, with an evening relative humidity of 21%.
Rawalpindi registered a maximum temperature of 41°C, with an evening relative humidity of 17%.
