LAHORE: The Lahore High Court(LHC) has hinted to summon the Punjab Chief Minister in the case of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill's brother's recovery.
Justice Amjad Rafiq of Lahore High Court heard the request for the recovery of Shahbaz Gill's brother Ghulam Shabbir, in which the relevant authorities including the petitioner's lawyer appeared.
The court rejected the report submitted by the police regarding the recovery and summoned the Advocate General Punjab and IG Punjab yesterday.
The court said that if necessary, the Chief Minister will also be summoned.
During the hearing, the petitioner's lawyer said that Shahbaz Gill's brother Ghulam Shabbir was detained by the police on his way to Islamabad.
Expressing annoyance over not producing the hostage, the Lahore High Court said that forced disappearances are against the fundamental rights given in the constitution.
