The current weather pattern is influenced by continental air from the western region, bringing with it wind speeds of 14km per hour and humidity levels around 67%. As the day progresses, the ‘feels like’ temperature is projected to reach a blistering 42°C.
Weather experts predict that Karachi will continue to experience high temperatures throughout the week, ranging from 35°C to 37°C, potentially hitting 40°C by the weekend. The prevailing winds are expected to be light, coming from the west to the southwest, with humidity levels varying between 40% and 50% during the day and peaking at 80% during nighttime hours.
Residents are advised to prepare for sustained heat, with minor fluctuations, until the onset of monsoon rains. While most regions in the country are experiencing dry conditions due to continental air masses, isolated areas in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) may see partly cloudy skies with occasional light rain or thunderstorms.
Today, plains areas are witnessing a gradual increase in daytime temperatures, similar to Monday’s trend. Notably, Sindh is facing the brunt of the heat, with cities like Jacobabad reaching scorching temperatures of 46°C, followed closely by Mohenjo Daro and Dadu at 45°C.

In light of these conditions, Karachiites are urged to take necessary precautions, such as staying hydrated, seeking shade, and minimizing outdoor activities during peak sunlight hours, to stay safe during this heatwave.
