Tel Aviv: Israeli defence officials have stated that the ongoing conflict with Iran could extend for at least two more weeks, as tensions continue to escalate in the region.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced the continuation of Israeli strikes against Iran, vowing to completely dismantle Tehran’s missile production capabilities.
“We cannot provide a time frame for the ongoing operations,” Netanyahu said, acknowledging that Iran’s response could be severe and that challenging days lie ahead.
The remarks come amid intensifying hostilities following a series of missile exchanges between the two nations, raising fears of a broader regional confrontation.
On the other hand, Israeli defence institutions have stated that the ongoing war with Iran could continue for at least two more weeks, amid intense military operations.
According to international news agencies, 200 Israeli fighter jets participated in a five-phase aerial assault on Iran, targeting and destroying dozens of radar systems and surface-to-air missile launchers.
Israeli forces have also claimed to have completed a large-scale offensive against Iran’s air defence infrastructure, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.
The sustained attacks reflect Israel’s intent to cripple Iran’s military capabilities, particularly its missile defense systems, as regional tensions surge.
Israeli Defence Minister has claimed that Israeli forces targeted an underground meeting of top Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Air Force leadership during ongoing military operations.
In a separate development, Israel has temporarily shut down all its embassies worldwide, suspending consular services until further notice, amid heightened security concerns and potential retaliatory threats.
The closures come as Israel continues its offensive against Iran, escalating fears of a broader regional conflict.
