Internet services throughout Pakistan have reportedly experienced disruptions, affecting users across the entire country.
The internet outage became apparent as thousands of users took to their social media accounts and other public platforms to report the disturbance.
This incident coincides with the Moon sighting scheduled for tonight (April 9, 2024), marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of the next Islamic month.
The current internet outage is the latest occurrence, following a similar nationwide disruption experienced almost two months ago in February. That outage coincided with Pakistan's general elections, which occur every five years.
Authorities have yet to determine the root cause of the national internet breakdown, leaving uncertainty regarding when the service will be restored.
As of 12:01 pm today, a total of 120 users had reported the unavailability of internet service, with complaints steadily increasing.
