HYDERABAD: A major breakthrough has been made in the case of renowned poet and writer Dr Akash Ansari, who was burned to death in house fire in Hyderabad city a few days ago.
The investigating officer (IO) of the case said that Latif Akash, the son of Dr Akash Ansari, has confessed to the murder of his father, the accused set fire to the room after killing Dr Akash.
Police officials said all evidence of the murder has been collected, Dr Akash's son is addicted to drugs and kept asking his father money every day.
The investigating officer says the forensic and post -mortem report is awaiting, the accused's DNA test has also been conducted.
It is to be remembered that the police had revealed that Dr Akash Ansri body was burned after the murder.
Dr Akash Ansari also filed a case against his adopted son Lateef Aakash a year ago in which he took the stand that his son Lateef had fled the house with Rs 3.8 milion.

Lather, Dr Akash has withdrawn the case after reconciliation with adopted son.
