Mark Withers became a household name in 1981 when he portrayed Ted Dinard in Dynasty, the love interest of Steven Carrington, played by Al Corley. Although his character’s storyline lasted only six episodes, Ted’s tragic death left a lasting impact on fans and the Carrington family in the show.
Beyond Dynasty, Withers’ illustrious TV career spanned decades, with appearances in Castle, Criminal Minds, Days of Our Lives, Hill Street Blues, Magnum P.I., Remington Steele, Sense8, The King of Queens, and more.
“Mark’s enduring talent and commitment to the industry will be fondly remembered by colleagues, friends, and fans alike,” his family said in their statement.
