Officials from the Danish Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Defence, Danish Defence Command, the National Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation of Denmark, as well as national broadcasters, took part in discussions.
The talks focused on the transformative impact the Games can have on wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans. Participants also explored how hosting the event could benefit Denmark’s veteran community and the country more broadly.
Founded by Prince Harry in 2014, the Invictus Games is an international sporting event for wounded, sick and injured veterans. Preparations for the upcoming Birmingham Games are already underway, marking the competition’s return to the UK after ten years.
