Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck struggle to finalize divorce amid tensions

  • Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce proceedings are on hold.
  • Unresolved financial and co-parenting issues have escalated tensions.
  • Lopez reportedly believes Affleck is unwilling to meet her demands.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce proceedings remain contentious six months after Lopez filed on their second wedding anniversary. Despite public declarations to split amicably, unresolved financial and co-parenting issues have escalated tensions.

According to a source quoted by In Touch, the situation has grown “increasingly tense and argumentative.” Lopez reportedly feels “sidelined and frustrated,” believing Affleck is unwilling to meet her demands. Conversely, Affleck feels he has been fair, accusing Lopez of “deliberately prolonging the process.”

The division of assets remains a sticking point, as Lopez’s $400 million net worth far exceeds Affleck’s $150 million, and the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement. “She’s worth more than twice as much as him, so it’s especially hard for him not to see this as her being vindictive and greedy,” the source added.

Adding to the strain, Affleck has been spending more time with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, which Lopez reportedly views as avoidance. Despite the conflict, both parties have prioritized their blended family of five children. A source told Page Six, “They remain close with each other’s children” and continue attending family events together.

As the couple works through their differences, their commitment to maintaining family unity provides a glimmer of hope for a smoother resolution.
