In a related development, Qatar’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater, met with Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, to discuss mutual cooperation in IT and telecommunication. Topics included startups, cybersecurity, and strengthening ties in technology.
Minister Shaza Fatima emphasized the strong relations between Pakistan and Qatar, expressing a desire for enhanced collaboration in IT, telecommunication, and cybersecurity. She highlighted the importance of signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between institutions from both nations to foster joint ventures.
The minister also called for facilitating Pakistani IT companies in acquiring visas and market access in Qatar. She proposed initiatives such as student exchanges and startup collaborations to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Ambassador Al-Khater assured full cooperation from Qatar, reaffirming their commitment to work closely with Pakistan in the IT and telecommunication sectors.
