Flour prices have continued to rise across the country, with Karachi now recorded as the most expensive city for a 20kg flour bag.
According to figures released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the highest price of a 20kg flour bag in the country has reached Rs2,800. Karachi recorded the highest rate, where a 20kg bag is being sold for up to Rs2,800.
In other major cities, the price of a 20kg flour bag has reached Rs2,750 in Peshawar, Rs2,733 in Islamabad, and Rs2,707 in Rawalpindi. The same bag is being sold for Rs2,700 in Quetta and Bannu.
Meanwhile, prices stand at Rs2,600 in Hyderabad, Rs2,400 in Khuzdar and Larkana, Rs2,350 in Faisalabad, Rs2,333 in Gujranwala, and Rs2,267 in Multan.
Lahore has the lowest recorded price among major cities, where a 20kg flour bag is available for Rs2,250.
