Amazon Echo Flex is an excellent choice for a first-time purchaser of a smart home gadget. Echo Dot is Amazon’s cheapest smart speaker. I stand by it, although it’s hard on Echo Flex. One’s good for music.

The Echo Flex isn’t bad. I use mine daily. Never music, radio, or podcasts. That’s awful. Amazon knows it’s bad; there’s a warning when you buy one. Echo Flex’s speaker isn’t made for this.

At the price you can often acquire one, it’s worth buying. This is the cheapest method to build a smart house. And it’s flexible. It’s not a gimmick.

Echo Flex was an impulse buy. One costs £9.99 in the UK. It’s dropped as low as $9.99 in the U.S., but is holding steady ahead of Prime Day.

My home has many Alexa devices. At the price, filling a gap with an Echo Flex was a no-brainer. Since the gadget plugs into the wall, I put one on the landing, where I wanted coverage but no trailing cords. Sub-£10 Echo Flex is ideal.
